While summertime is often an opportunity to get out and about and enjoy the streets of Philadelphia, outdoor opportunities continue to abound in the fall.

From block parties to Halloween-themed events to craft brew celebrations, the fall festival scene in Philly is heating up this month. Many of the area’s biggest and best events are being held right near your Dalian on the Park apartment—so clear your schedule and take advantage of all of the exciting opportunities that fall in Philly has to offer!

Here are a few of the local fests coming our way:

 

OktoberFest Philly: One of the city’s biggest fall festival takes place Oct. 5 and 6 at the 23rd Street Armory, six blocks from your Dalian on the Park apartment. OktoberFest Philly brings a genuine German beer festival right here to Philly, with Bavarian beer, cultural music and food. Sessions are timed throughout the weekend, with tickets starting at $25.

 

Morgan’s Pier Fall Festival: Throughout the month of October, riverside bar and restaurant Morgan’s Pier, two miles from your Dalian on the Park apartment, features a whole host of fall-themed activities on weekends: live music, pumpkin carving, dog-friendly “yappy hours,” an Oktoberfest celebration including an open bar and free pretzels and much more. Morgan’s Pier closes for the winter at the end of October, so enjoy the outdoor oasis while you can!

 

Bartram Gardens Fall Festival: Bartram Gardens may be best known for its springtime blooms but it also puts on quite a show for the fall. The Southwest Philadelphia botanical garden, about 3.5 miles from your Dalian on the Park apartment, will celebrate its annual festival Oct. 21. The event is an opportunity for both entertainment and education, with lawn games, music and food, as well as workshops on farming, canning and culinary skills.
