Once a year, thousands of restaurants across the nation, including dozens near your Dalian on the Park apartment, join forces in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Dining Out for Life has been raising funds for HIV/AIDS causes for decades, and 2018 is set to be the biggest and best year of the fundraiser. On April 19, more than 175 local eateries will donate a third of their proceeds to the effort, which will then be distributed directly to local residents affected by the disease as well as to organizations that work to combat the epidemic. While the event raises funds and awareness for a serious cause, it’s also designed to encourage diners to enjoy a fun night out, with many venues featuring entertainment, raffles and specials.
Diners can find something to suit any taste at Dining Out for Life, as restaurants representing a range of flavors, and across varying price points, are participating. Even among eateries near your Dalian on the Park apartment, you can find lots of options, such as:
Jack’s Firehouse: Three blocks from your Dalian on the Park apartment, Jack’s Firehouse features high-quality comfort food, from soup and salads to steak and crab cakes. Situated in a rehabbed firehouse, diners can enjoy awesome architecture and views while digging into their dishes.
La Calaca Feliz: If you’ve got a taste for Mexican, head over to La Calaca Feliz, a half-mile from your Dalian on the Park apartment. The restaurant kicks traditional favorites up a notch, such as tacos with shrimp, mushrooms or carne asada, and enchiladas with lump crab and veggies.
London Grill: The restaurant and bar, located a half-mile from your Dalian on the Park apartment, has been a longtime supporter of Dining Out for Life. Diners can enjoy New American fare, as well as seasonal cocktails, wines and beers.
